Chemistry Project Reports

Here are many chemistry project reports free download.
CBSE Chemistry Project Report for School Students.

Chemistry Project Report Experiment Acid and Bases

Types of Fabrics :
(i) Animal fibres e.g. Wool & Silk.
(ii) Vegetable Fibres e.g. Cotton & Linen.
(iii) Synthetic Fibres e.g. Nylon & Polyester.

Besides their chemical composition and properties, most important property of these fibres is their tensile strength. Tensile strength mean the extent to which a fibre can be stretched without breaking and it is measured in terms of minimum weight required to break the fibre. To determine the tensile strength of any fibre, it is tied to a hook at one end and weighted are slowly added to the other end until the fibre break.

Chemistry Project Report Adsorption

Definition of Adsorption : The phenomenon of attracting and retaining the molecules of a substance on the surface of a liquid or a solid resulting in the higher concentration of the molecules on the surface is called Adsorption.
The substance thus adsorbed on surface is called Adsorbate and the substance on which it is adsorbed is called Adsorbent.
Causes of Adsorption
Adsorption arises at the surface of solids as a result of presence of unbalanced forces at the surface. These forces develop either during the crystallization of solids or by virtue of the presence of unpaired e- in d-orbital.

Chemistry Project Report on Cells

Introduction :
What is Cells : Although every spontaneous redox reaction can be used as the basis of an electrochemical cell, yet every such electrochemical cell is not suitable for purpose. This is because of the following two reasons :-
(i) Electrochemical cells using salt bridges have high internal resistance. As a result, if we try to draw large current from them, their voltage drops sharply.
(ii) They lack the compactness and ruggedness for portability.

Types of cells
(a) Primary Cells.
(b) Secondary Cells.
(c) Fuel Cells.

Constituents of An Alloy Chemistry Project Report

An Alloy is a homogenous mixture of two or more metals or a non-metal.
An alloy of mercury with another metal is called amalgam.
Alloys are usually harder than their components but very often less ductile and less malleable. Thus the hardness of gold is increased by addition of copper to it. The melting point of an alloy is always lower than the melting points of the constituent metals.

What is Green House Effect ?

The name "Green-house effect" comes from the fact that this effect is use in horticulture for the up bringing of green plant's in small house made of glass walls and glass root. The green walls and roofs of a green-house allows the sun-light to come in freely but it does not allows the long wavelength infrared radiations reflected by the soil, plants and other contents of green house to go out.

Role of Carbondioxide in Green House Effect
The carbon dioxide in the atmosphere also performs another major role. The earth receives light of different wavelengths from the sun. The Ozone in the upper atmosphere absorbs most of the harmful ultraviolet radiation and lets the other wavelengths pass through.

Project Report on Drugs Addiction
"DRUGS ADDICTION"

INTRODUCTION OF "DRUGS ADDICTION"
Drug Addiction word is make by two words :

(I) Drug (II) Addiction.

What is means Drug
Any substance, other than food, used in the prevention, diagnosis, all aviation or treatment of a disease is called a drug. A drug may also be defined as a chemical which, when taken in some way after the body function. Drug is also known as a medicine. Generally, the term drugs applied to any stimulating or depressing substance that can be habituating or addictive.

Meaning of Addiction
Addiction is the habitual, psychological and physiological dependence on a substance or practice. Which is beyond voluntary control. A person who is habituated to a substance or a practice, especially a harmful one, is called an addict.

Drugs Dependence
Drugs are prescribed by physicians for the prevention or treatment of diseases, or for increasing the physical and mental performance and are withdrawn as soon as the desired effect is achieved. Repeated use of certain drugs on a periodic or continuous basis may make the body dependence. Such drugs are called psychotropic rugs. They act on the brain and alter behaviour, consciousness and capacity of perception. Hence, they are also termed mood-altering drugs. Some people start taking drugs without medical advise due to one reason or the other and become drugs dependent.

Classification of Drugs
There are a large number of drugs on which people become dependent. These are classifies into four major groups : sedatives and tranquilizers, opiate narcotics, stimulants and hallucinogens.

Project Report Malnutrition :
What is Malnutrition :
The condition in which the people become weak and sick because of insufficient and unbalanced food is called malnutrition. A large no of people in our country and other developing countries suffer from malnutrition because of poverty, lack of education, wrong notions and frequent pregnancies. The main cause of malnutrition is poverty.
Project Report Malnutrition :

Project Report Chemical Fertilizers and Manures:
Fertilizers are the sources of plant nutrients, manufactured commercially from chemicals. They contain much higher amount of nutrients in comparison to the manures and are, therefore, used in very small quantities. These fertilizers may supply one or more nutrients. Chemically they may be inorganic compounds (e.g., ammonium sulphate) or organic compounds (e.g. urea).

1. A manure is a natural substance. It is obtained by decomposition of animal wastes such as dung (gobar) of cattle and buffaloes and plant residues.
2. A manure contains small amounts of essential plant nutrients such as nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium.
5. A manure is not nutrient specific and it tends to remove the general deficiency of the soil.
6. A manure is voluminous and bulky so it is inconvenient to store, transport, handle and apply to the crop.
7. A manure is cheap and is prepared in rural homes or fields.
